Early to Mid 1900s Found at an old sake distillery.
Fabric Cotton fabric saturated with kakishibu.

Somwhat stiff because of several kakishibu immersions.
13 X 33 inches
32 X 85 cm
Heavy Weight, Thick Fabric
Boro Condition, many hand sewn repairs.
6 small holes, and 7 inche rip, see photos.
Comment Fabulous example of the effort in which the Japanese sake brewers took to extend the life of each precious sake bag. Labor was obviously less expensive than purchasing a new bag. These sakaburo have been repaired many times.
