Item Katazome with Kamon Futon Cover
Indigo and Kakishibu, Two color pattern is very detailed. This textile required a two color dyeing process whereby the first pass imbedded the indigo color then the kakishibu brown accents were added with the 2nd pass. Chrysanthemum & geometric design.

Very good condition with no holes and no tears. This textiles was pieced together as seen in the 9th photo. We have washed & ironed this textile, it is ready to display as is or for use in your project.
Comment Very unusual to find a futon cover with a family crest in the middle, and the basic pattern surrounding it. The complex 2 color pattern with kamon was difficult to dye and required a very skilled craftsman to dye it.
