The lapel has a red Matsuri participation seal and the Matsuri group's name. The triangle symbol is the group's special identification mark.

Condition

Very wearable, Good Condition. Very nice quality, nicely faded. Several very, very small spots, holes and some worn areas as seen in photos.

We have washed & ironed this garment.

This happi coat was worn by a participating person during the annual Gion Matsuri (festival) in Kyoto. The Gion Festival takes place annually in Kyoto and is one of the most famous festivals in Japan. It spans the entire month of July and is crowned by a parade, the Yamaboko Junko on July 17. It takes its name from Kyoto's Gion district.
