Homespun and hand woven. Lovely dark indigo cotton fabric.

Comment These infrequently found indigo dyed cotton sashiko garments are treasured today as unique survivors of a once ubiquitous but now lost handmade folk textile mingei (people's) craft. This Cotton noragi farmers garment was locally fashioned in the colder mountainous regions of Tohoku, Northern Japan.
