Suggest using this folk jacket/textile for historical or artistic display to illustrate Japanese craftsman's skill at fashioning detailed sashiko stitching and wonderful sakiori weaving. And of course, the to exemplify the Japanese tradition of fabric boro repairing for use long after its normal life span.
We have washed this coat and repaired some loose seams.
